PFLAG is an extraordinary grassroots organization with a growing network of members in the United States and abroad.\u00a0As an affiliate, you benefit from the credibility and stature built by more than 35 years of work from PFLAG members.\u00a0As a chapter leader, you’ll join a family of members and friends, working together to make all of our communities fair and safe places.<\/p>\n
There are three types of affiliates within the national PFLAG network:representatives, chapters,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0state councils.<\/em><\/p>\n Representative.<\/strong>\u00a0An individual or single family working to further PFLAG\u2019s goals.<\/p>\n Chapter.<\/strong>\u00a0A group of\u00a0three or more individuals or families working together to further PFLAG\u2019s goals.<\/p>\n State council.<\/strong>\u00a0A statewide organization of PFLAG chapters, representatives and at-large members working to further PFLAG\u2019s goals.<\/p>\n As a recognized PFLAG representative, chapter, or state council, you also have access to PFLAG\u2019s volunteer and staff resources including trainings, conferences, and written materials.<\/p>\n Chapters and state councils also receive:<\/p>\n <\/strong><\/li>\n <\/strong><\/li>\n All chapters and state councils are required to complete the affiliation paperwork.<\/strong>\u00a0Upon completion, each chapter and state council will gain the additional benefit of nonprofit status which\u00a0includes the ability to accept tax-deductible donations.<\/p>\n\n
